Thame has plenty of things to keep everyone entertained. One of its major attractions is the renowned annual Oxfordshire County and Thame Show, an agricultural show with much to see and do including livestock shows, falconry displays and a host of craft trade stands.
The town is also the location for the filming of many popular television programmes such as Midsomer Murders and the town hall is actually the setting for Causton Town Hall. Transport in and around Thame
Thames Meadows has good transport links too with the junction 8 on the M40 only around five miles away giving you easy access to London and Birmingham and High Wycombe in 17 minutes. If you’re looking for rail access, Thame Parkway station is just under 3 miles away with rail services to London Marylebone taking just under 40 minutes. When it comes to public transport, Arriva operate a score of local buses with regular routes around the town and direct buses out to Oxford.
Schools and education in Thame
