Getting to and from Congleton

Congleton train station is 6 minutes’ drive away from the development. There’s a regular service from Congleton to Manchester Piccadilly that takes about 40 minutes. Other regular routes include services to the likes of Macclesfield, Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent, and Prestbury. 

Our development is a also a little under 15 minutes’ drive from the M6, which goes towards Manchester – 50 minutes away – and Birmingham – a little over an hour away. You can also drive to the likes of Macclesfield, Knutsford and Crewe in under half an hour. Manchester Airport is also less than half an hour away. 

Things to do in Congleton

We’re less than 5 minutes’ drive away from a fair few parks, including the charming Margaret’s Place and the popular Congleton Park – which boasts a recently refurbished play area, with slides, swings and a jungle gym. Then, of course, there’s Astbury Mere Country Park – which aside from its many walking routes, also features a cafe and a watersports centre. The park is known for hosting the local parkrun. 

There’s also a gym – Gymetc - within walking distance of our development, being less than 5 minutes’ walk away. The gym features a sauna as well as a swimming pool. 
In terms of shopping, we’re 5 minutes’ drive away from a retail park offering a broad selection of retailers, including a Tesco Superstore, an M&S Food and a B&M, with a Hartfords and a Boots also nearby. 

With our development only 5 minutes’ drive from the town centre, you can also explore Congleton’s wide range of high street stores, including WH Smith, Superdrug, Card Factory, Specsavers, and Vision Express, as well as the Morrisons in town centre and a wide selection of hairdressers. 

Congleton is also known for its weekly market, that occurs every Tuesday and Saturday, with everything from clothing and pet supplies to fresh vegetables and meat straight from the butchers available to buy. 

There’s also the Congleton Maker’s Market that takes place on the last Saturday of the month, where you can get a true sense of the town’s local arts and crafts scene.

•  Saint Mary's Catholic Primary School - About 10 minutes’ walk from out development, Saint Mary’s caters for children ages 2-11. 
• The Quinta Primary School  - Quinta is 4 minutes' drive away and also accepts pupils ages 2-11.
•  Marlfields Primary Academy - A 5-minute drive away, Marlfields accepts children between the ages of 3 and 11.
•  Black Firs Primary School- 6 minutes’ drive away, in the neighbouring district of Somerford, Black Firs accepts children from 3-11.
• Buglawton Primary School  - Catering to children between the ages of 4 and 11, this primary school is a 6-minute drive from our development. 

Local secondary schools include:

•  Eaton Bank Academy - Offering education up to sixth form, Eaton Bank is known for its diverse curriculum with subjects like Creative Media, Spanish and Food & Nutrition being taught. The school caters for children between the ages of 11 and 18 and is just 4 minutes’ drive from our development. 
• Congleton High School- Congleton High is another local school offering a sixth form option. The school offers an EPQ course as well as several scholarships and accepts children between the ages of 11 and 19. The school is 5 minutes’ drive from our development. 

We're also within easy reach of Macclesfield College. Situated just 14 minutes’ drive from our development, the college offers a range of T-levels, A-levels, apprenticeships, and adult courses, including subjects such as Beauty, Childcare, and Construction. 

You’ll also find a couple of nurseries within 5 minutes’ drive of our development, namely New Life Nursery and The Nursery Childcare.

We’re just 8 minutes’ drive from Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve, as well as 12 minutes’ drive from Swettenham Meadows Nature Reserve too.

Either Glebe Farm or Astbury Meadow Garden Centre, both an 8-minute drive away, make for a peaceful day out. There’s also Castaway Play Amusement Centre less than 10 minutes’ drive away, which offers five unique play areas for kids to enjoy.
