Getting to and from Felixstowe
Our new builds in Felixstowe are less than half an hour from Ipswich, with commuters able to reach one of the UK’s oldest settlements in about 24 minutes via the A14. Felixstowe is also a 22-minute drive from Woodbridge via the A12.
There’s a train station less than 20 minutes’ walk from our development, in Trimley, with hourly services running from Trimley to Ipswich, with connecting trains to London.
The nearest airport is Stansted Airport, a little over an hour away by car.
Things to do in Felixstowe
Felixstowe seafront is less than 2 miles from the development with a fantastic promenade, perfect for cycling and walking. There is a 4-mile beach, amusements and brilliant food and drink options.
In terms of shopping, our development is within walking distance of a Co-op.
There’s also Beach Street – 7 minutes’ drive away – which is home to a number of independent retailers, including Marvellous by Michelle, Furry Tale dog grooming, Thread and Butter Vintage, and Monnie’s Gifts.
Walton Recreation Park is 20 minutes’ walk away. The park features a football pitch as well as a basketball court.
There are also several nature reserves within a 10-minute drive of our development. These include the Grove and Abbey Grove Woodland, the Trimley Marshes and the Levington Lagoon.
Neighbouring Ipswich also has its fair share of shopping centres - including the Euro and Futura retail parks - both within 14 minutes’ drive of our development - where you’ll find the likes of Halfords, B&Q and John Lewis.
Popular schools in Felixstowe
There are a number of primary schools near our development, these include:
● Grange Community Primary School – within 5 minutes’ drive of our new homes, this school caters for children ages 4-11.
● Colneis Junior School - Colneis is 6 minutes’ drive away and takes on students between the ages of 7 and 11.
● Kesgrave High school - Kesgrave is 19 minutes’ drive away and, apart from the usual sixth-form subjects, also has more specialist courses, including Criminology and Law. The school caters to children ages 11-18.
There’s also a nursery nearby - Old Felixstowe Nursery. The nursery looks after pre-school aged children, between the ages of 2 and 5.
Living in Felixstowe
A peaceful coastal town, Felixstowe has a hiking and leisure seafront 4miles long, ending in the Landguard Nature Reserve at the mouth of the Orwell. The reserve has a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk and a circular hiking route. You can also visit the beach at Shingle Street by taking the Felixstowe Ferry.
Popular local attractions include the Ocean Boulevard Fun Park, a small coastal theme park, 7 minutes’ drive from our development. There’s also the Felixstowe Seafront Gardens, a 6-minute drive away.
Avid golfers can join the Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club - 6 minutes’ drive away, while cyclists can visit the Twisted Oaks bike park – a 13-minute drive away.
