Everything you need, right on your doorstep

Transport in and around Newport

Join the A518 and after 10 miles you’ll be at junction 4 of the M54, giving you simple access to the motorway network. The A518 will also quickly connect you to Telford and Stafford too. Thinking of jumping on the train? Shifnal Train Station is 8 miles away or a 16-minute drive, with services to Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury.

We all need to switch off and unwind sometimes, and a great way to do that is by getting closer to nature. The good news is, you’re not far from Aqualate Mere National Nature Reserve. The wetland is home to all sorts of birds, fish and mammals. Perfect for a Sunday stroll.

If history is your thing, a 15-minute drive down the A41 and you’ll land at the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford. For those of you that prefer furry friends, head to Rodbaston Animal Zone. You’ll find around 750 animals, including monkeys, meerkats and alpacas.
