Getting to and from Stowmarket

Our development enjoys easy access to the A14, being just six-minutes away from our new homes in Stowmarket. It’s a 25-minute drive to Ipswich via the A14 as well as a one-hour drive to Cambridge. From Stowmarket Train Station, an eight-minute drive away from our development, commuters can also catch regular services to London (1h 10m away by train), as well as services to places like of Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. There is also a bus stop a short walk away from our development, offering routes to Bury St Edmunds, Combs Ford, and Needham Market. The nearest airport is London Stansted, just a little over an hour’s drive away, offering flights to various destinations across Europe. 

Things to do in Stowmarket

Our new development is situated just a 5-minute drive from Stowmarket High Street, the area’s local vibrant shopping hub. Here, you’ll find a diverse mix of retailers including popular stores like Peacocks, Ince LTD and Style at Stow. There is also a popular independent cinema, The Regal, showing all of the box office hits. There are also several major supermarkets within a 10-minute drive of our development including a Lidl, an Aldi and an Asda. From the development, take a short walk and enjoy a drink at the Shepherd and Dog or grab a bite at the Lakehouse Cafe. 

Popular schools in Stowmarket

• Wood Ley Community Primary caters to children ages 4-11 and provides a Breakfast and After School Club. The school also offers a Forest Schools program to engage students with their surrounding natural environment. The school is only a three-minute drive away from our development.
• Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery caters to children ages 2-11 and places much emphasis on supporting the community. To this end, the school encourages its students to understand the importance of diversity and sustainability in everything they do. Grace Cook is just a 5-minute drive from our development.
• Stowmarket High School is right on our development’s doorstep, being a 12-minute walk away. Catering to children ages 11-18, the school is popular amongst the local community, with the town often raising funds to support the purchasing of new school equipment or to fund fun experiences for the students.

Living in Stowmarket

For a taste of the local culture, there's the Food Museum, just 10-minutes away from our development. Families can also take a trip to the Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm, just a 20-minute drive away, where kids and adults alike can have a wonderful time learning all about different animals, walking with alpacas and even getting to be a farmer for a day. There are regular art exhibitions at the Fox Yard Studio, which displays works by local Suffolk artists. In terms of live music, there’s the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts and the Barrandov Opera Company. Stowmarket is also home to a variety of sports clubs, including Stowmarket Rugby Club, Stowmarket Football Club, and the Stowmarket Golf Club. The Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, with its climbing wall and swimming pools, is just an 10-minute walk away from our development.
