Getting to and from Ash
Our new development is ideally situated, being just a 17-minute walk away from Ash’s railway station, which offers an hourly direct service to Reading as well as a regular service to Gatwick Airport via Guildford
For direct services to London Waterloo, commuters can drive down to Ash Vale station, which is a seven-minute drive from our development, and catch the half hourly direct service to Waterloo – with the service getting you into London within about 50 minutes.
Ash Vale also offers regular services to the likes of Alton, Ascot and Aldershot.
With easy access to the M3, A31 and the M25, it’s also a straightforward drive from our development to places like Woking (a 17-minute drive), Reading (a 37-minute drive) and London (a 56-minute drive).
Things to do in Ash
There are several stores within minutes of our new development, including the local convenience store, Pinewood Stores, a 15-minute walk away.
In terms of the larger supermarkets, there’s a Co-Op a three-minute drive away, a Sainsbury’s Local a six-minute drive away, as well as a Tesco Superstore a 13-minute drive away.
The wider Guildford area also has much to offer, with an Odeon Multiplex Cinema being just a 13-minute drive from our development. The famed concert venue, The Electric Theatre, is also about a 13-minute drive away, with Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre being only slightly further out, a 15-minute drive away.
Popular schools in Ash
Just a four-minute drive away from our development, the school caters to children ages 5-7, with the school’s sister school, the Walsh C of E Junior School, accommodating children aged 7-11.
There are numerous other Ofsted-rated “Good” schools within minutes of our development, including Ash Grange Primary School – which is a three-minute drive away and accepts children aged 2-11, and Shawfield Primary School – which is a five-minute drive away and accepts children aged 5-11.
There are also a couple of Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” secondary schools within a 15-minute drive of our development including All Hallows Catholic School and Guildford County School, both mixed schools that cater to children from 11 up to sixth form.
Living in Ash
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Ash is a village perfect for those who enjoy gorgeous hiking trails, stunning views and observing wildlife.
The Ash Ranges are particularly popular. This sprawling woodland and heathland forms part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering several walking trails and cycling paths to explore.
There’s also the Lakeside Nature Reserve, with its serene ponds and eclectic wildlife. It’s highly recommended, particularly if you enjoy bird watching.
