Getting to and from Staplegrove
Our Staplegrove new homes benefit from excellent transport links, with a choice of major roads close by. Within just a few minutes, residents can access the A358 for connections to the A38 and the M5. This is the suburb’s nearest motorway with Junction 25 just 20 minutes away, providing connections to Bristol and Exeter.
For public transport, Taunton’s train station is just 10 minutes away and runs regular services in Cardiff, Plymouth, London Paddington, Leeds and Edinburgh.
Those living in our new homes in Staplegrove also have convenient access to two international airports: Exeter (less than an hour away) and Bristol (1 hour 15 minutes’ drive).
Things to do in Staplegrove
Residents in our Staplegrove new homes can enjoy convenient access to a range of everyday amenities.
The walkable village has its own Co-op and post office, while larger supermarkets, including Aldi, Lidl and Tesco, are all located within a 10-minute drive. Just off the A358, a 5-minute drive from our development, you’ll also find a petrol station and M&S Simply Food.
The Cross Keys pub is a dog-friendly social hub, complete with a leafy beer garden, welcoming atmosphere and hearty pub food. A wider selection of shops, restaurants and cafés can be found in Taunton town centre, just a 10-minute drive away.
As for healthcare, our new homes are well served with Musgrove Park Hospital less than 20 mins away and Staplegrove Pharmacy, which is on hand for everyday needs. The private Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital is also less than 5 minutes’ drive of our development.

Staplegrove Church School – This Church of England primary school is located in Staplegrove village, just a few minutes’ drive from our new homes. It offers caring, community-focused environment for children aged 5-11.
Bishop’s Hull Primary School – Located within 6-minutes’ drive of our development, this primary school takes children aged 4-11, providing them with a broad education that covers reading maths, arts, music and sports.
Norton Fitzwarren Primary School – In the neighbouring village of Norton Fitzwarren, less than a 5-minute drive away, this pre-school and C of E primary welcomes children from age 3 up to 11.
Taunton School – This is an Ofted-rated Outstanding independent day and boarding school serving pupils from nursery to sixth form (ages 0-18). Less than 5 minutes from our Quantock Hills development, this school offers an excellent education and extensive co-curricular opportunities.
The Castle School – For pupils aged 11-19, this secondary and sixth form school is located in Taunton, less than 10 minutes away. Another local Ofsted-rated Outstanding option, The Castle School is known for its strong academic record.
Bishop Fox’s School – A secondary option for students 11-16 years old, this Taunton school has a strong reputation for high standards. It’s located less than 15 minutes from our new development.

Bridgwater & Taunton College – With a local campus in Taunton, as well as Bridgwater and Cannington, this college offers a wide range of A-levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships and degree-level programmes. With modern facilities, its Taunton campus can be reached within 10 minutes from our new homes.
Richard Huish College – Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, this college offers a broad sixth form curriculum for those aged 16-19, as well as additional A-level courses, diplomas and apprenticeships. Located in Taunton, this college is a 10-minute drive from our development.
Living in Staplegrove
Those living in our Staplegrove new homes benefit from a range of nearby activities to enjoy – both in the local countryside and nearby towns.
The area’s pedestrian and cycle network makes getting around easy and there are plenty of nearby green spaces to explore. Young families will enjoy the local Hudson Way Recreation Ground with its wooden pirate ship and slides, as well as the French Weir Park with its a playground and café, (both within a 20 minutes’ walk from our new homes).
For nature a little further afield, residents can drive to Hestercombe House & Gardens or explore the picturesque Quantock Hills National Landscape, both located less 30 minutes’ drive from our development.
For little ones, there’s indoor fun to be had at the Space Adventures Soft Play (less than 5 minutes’ drive) and the Hollywood Bowl (10 minutes away), while sports fans will love the Somerset County Cricket Club and its museum, just 5 minutes away. For further culture, the Museum of Somerset is located in Taunton town centre, less than 10 minutes away.
Active families and fitness fans have plenty of options too, with Stapleton’s Twoton CrossFit, as well as the Activate Fitness and Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing gyms both under 10 minutes from our development.
