Getting to and from Rugby

Our development is situated just 10 minutes’ drive from the M6, which offers direct routes to Coventry – 22 minutes’ drive away, and Birmingham – 43 minutes’ drive away. 

Rugby Train Station is also easy to get to, being just 8 minutes’ away by car. From Rugby, you can catch direct services into London Euston – getting into the capital in a little under an hour. 

Other services include direct trains to Birmingham New Street, Crewe and Manchester. 

There’s also a bus stop within walking distance of our development – just 12 minutes’ walk away – where you can catch the number 83 bus to the likes of Rugby Town Centre and Coventry. 

Our new development is just 5 minutes’ walk away from the Oakfield and Rowland United Cricket Club, and 12 minutes’ walk away from The King George V Small Park, which features a skate park, a children’s play area, a football field, and a basketball court. 

There are also two gyms within a 3-minute drive of our development: CrossFit Volentia and Xtreme Fitness. For keen swimmers, there’s Nuffield Health - 7 minutes’ drive away – which has its own swimming pool. 

In terms of shopping, there’s a Co-op about 10 minutes’ walk from our development. 

There’s also Rugby Central - 6 minutes’ drive away – which boasts a wide range of both chain and independent retailers, including Claire’s, Vision Express, ROMAN, Grape Tree, as well as a retail park, Junction One, which is 7 minutes’ drive away, offers free parking for up to 6 hours, and houses stores such as Currys, Wickes and B&M.

The Brambles is near several primary schools, including:

• Long Lawford Primary School - a primary school, 3 minutes’ drive away, that caters for children ages 4-11. 
• Henry Hinde Infant School - Offering a middle stage between nursery and primary school, Henry Hinde caters to children between the ages and 7 and is situated just 4 minutes’ drive from our development.
• Henry Hinde Junior School - The sibling school to Henry Hinde Infant School, Henry Hinde’s junior school caters to children once they reach Key Stage 2 – looking after students from the age of 7 until when they turn 11.
• Saint Oswald's CofE Academy School - A Church of England School, Saint Oswald’s is 4 minutes’ drive from our development and caters for children ages 3-11. 

Nearby secondary schools include: 

• Bilton School - A secondary school with a sixth form attached, Bliton is 4 minutes’ drive away and caters for children ages 11-18. The school teaches a wide range of classic and specialist subjects, including Criminology, Sociology, Chemistry, and Art. 
• The Avon Valley School & Performing Arts College - Avon Valley is a school specifically catering to students interested in the Performing Arts. Taking on kids aged 11-16, the school is just 5 minutes’ drive away from our development. 

Rugby also offers the following further education options:

• Rugby College - Known for its Construction, Performing Arts, and Hair and Beauty courses, Rugby College is located 8 minutes away from our development. 
• Coventry University - A little over 20 minutes’ drive away, Coventry University offers a wide range of courses, including Physics, Pharmacology, Aviation Management, Visual Effects, and Criminal Law. 

The development is also just 4 minutes’ drive away from the local nursery – the Blue Windmill Nursery. The nursery accepts children from when they’re one month old till the age of five. 

Living in Rugby

A popular town in the West Midlands, Ruby is known for its wildlife trusts and its rich cultural scene.  The town has quite a few nature reserves, many of which are easy to get to from our new homes in Rugby.

Our new development is within 13 minutes’ drive of two Warwickshire Wildlife Trust nature reserves: the Claybrookes and the Brandon marshes. There’s also the Cock Robin Wood - an 8-minute drive away, and the Draycote Reservoir – 15 minutes’ drive away. 

We’re also within 13 minutes’ drive of three golf clubs: the Rugby Golf Club, the Whitefields Golf Club, and the Leam Valley Golf Centre.

If you’re interested in bowling, there’s the Strikes Bar - 6 minutes’ drive away, as well as the Yum Yum World laser tag centre - 7 minutes’ drive away.  

You’ll find the Rugby Theatre Society just 7 minutes’ drive away. Putting on a number of productions throughout the year, including the likes of Legally Blonde and Deathtrap, the theatre always has something good on. There’s also a Cineworld cinema just 8 minutes away too.
