Getting to and from Penkridge
The A449 runs through the village of Penkridge, providing a straightforward route into Stafford in only 15 minutes. Residents of our new homes in Penkridge can also reach the M6 in just 5 minutes for onward travel to cities, Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham, while the M54 is around 10 minutes’ drive away and offers access to nearby Shropshire towns, Telford and Shrewsbury.
For rail travel, Penkridge Train Station is less than a 5-minute drive from our development, with regular services getting you into Birmingham New Street in under half an hour, and Liverpool Lime Street in just over an hour. For a wider choice of routes, Stafford Station is also just a 15-minute drive away, offering direct connections into Stoke-On-Trent, Manchester Piccadilly and London Euston.
There's also a bus stop situated just outside Penkridge Chase which offers regular services to both Stafford town centre and Cannock town centre.
Both Birmingham Airport and Manchester Airport are also less than an hour’s drive away.
Things to do in Penkridge
Penkridge offers a range of everyday amenities, all within easy reach of our new builds. The village Co-op is the closest supermarket for daily essentials, while larger Tesco and Asda stores are within a 15-minute drive.
In the heart of the village, residents can also benefit from another convenience store, as well as a greengrocer’s, bakery and pharmacy. Penkridge Market, which is held twice a week, is also nearby and sells fresh food, crafts and antiques.
The village also has its fair share of pubs and cafés, including the Horse & Jockey and The Star. You’ll also find The Courtyard Bar & Restaurant on the same road as our development.
The local leisure centre is also just 5 minutes’ drive away. Having everything you need, the local leisure centre comes equipped with both a gym and a swimming pool.
Penkridge Medical Practice is within walking distance of our development, being just 15 minutes’ walk away.

Nearby, you’ll also find the Saredon Studios – a creative space that runs regular art classes for children and is a popular location for children’s parties.
If you have children, Play @ Lower Drayton Farm (5 minutes’ drive) and the Rodbaston Animal Zone (10 minutes’ drive) make excellent day-out options.
Penkridge Chase benefits from proximity to National Trust sites, including the Shugborough Estate and nearby Cannock Chase Country Park – both around 20 minutes away.
About half an hour away, you’ll also find well-preserved heritage properties such as Moseley Old Hall and the Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
Penkridge’s neighbouring towns also offer plenty of retail options, including the Mander Centre and the Wulfrun Shopping Centre in Wolverhampton, as well as Stafford’s Riverside mall.
Just 20 minutes’ drive away, Stafford provides several cinemas including an ODEON Luxe, along with the popular Gatehouse Theatre.
