Getting to and from Spondon

Spondon is well connected for both road and rail travel, making it ideal for commuters and city explorers alike. The A52 runs through the village, connecting Derby and Nottingham, and providing easy access to the M1 within 10 minutes. Using this motorway, residents can travel north to Sheffield (1 hour 10 minutes) or south to Leicester (50 minutes).

The village also has its own railway station just a 5-minute drive from our new homes, with regular services running from Spondon into Derby city centre and Nottingham within half an hour.

For travel closer to home, Spondon is well-served by bus routes linking the village to nearby areas such as Chaddesden, Alvaston and the wider Derby region. Fawndale Rise benefits from a bus stop just a one-minute walk from our development, providing residents of our new homes with easily accessible public transport.

  • Ashbrook Infant & Junior School – From Spondon, the Ashbrook schools in Borrowash, Derbyshire, are just a 5-minute drive away.
