Getting to and from Leicester Forest East
Leicester Forest East offers excellent connections for everyday journeys and when travelling further afield.
The M1 motorway is just over 10 minutes’ drive from our new homes, providing convenient routes across the Midlands and beyond, including direct connections towards Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton and London. The M69 is also within easy reach for straightforward access to Coventry and Hinckley in around half an hour, while a network of A-roads provides connections to Market Harborough and Kettering in around 45 minutes.
For rail travel, residents can choose Narborough railway station, which is around 10 minutes’ drive away with regular services into Leicester, Birmingham, Gloucester and beyond. Alternatively, Leicester railway station is around 20 minutes away for wider connections across the region and further afield, including London, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby.
Local bus services provide another convenient way to travel across Leicester and the wider area, with St Margaret’s Bus Station is less than 20 minutes away.
For international travel, East Midlands Airport is half an hour’s drive away, while Manchester Airport can be reached in under an hour, making both business trips and overseas getaways easily accessible.

Life in Leicester Forest East offers everyday convenience, with essential amenities, independent cafés and local leisure opportunities available close to our new homes.
For daily essentials, there’s a choice of local shops in the village including Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s Local, Co-op and Premier convenience stores, along with a nearby Post Office and local pharmacies.
The village is also home to a selection of popular places to eat and catch up with friends and family. Local favourites include Wild Coffee & Kitchen, Ciao Pizzeria and The Grange Bakery & Deli. There are several village pubs within a five minute drive, including Pesto at The White Horse with its Italian menu and the more traditional thatched country pub, The Red Cow.
For health and wellbeing, residents have access to several nearby healthcare facilities. Warren Lane Surgery and New Lubbesthorpe Health Care Centre are both just a couple of minutes away, while Hockley Farm Medical Practice can be reached within 10 minutes. For more specialist care, Glenfield Hospital in Leicester is around 15 minutes away.

Our new build homes in Leicester Forest East combine peaceful village surroundings with quick access to both the city and picturesque countryside.
For those who enjoy spending time outdoors, the surrounding area provides plenty of nearby nature spots including Aylestone Meadows, Hill Hole Nature Reserve and Glen Hills, for scenic walking routes and peaceful escapes, while the University of Leicester Botanic Garden and Attenborough Arboretum features beautifully landscaped spaces to discover. Families can also enjoy days out at Tropical Birdland (15 minutes away) or Twycross Zoo (half an hour away), both offering memorable experiences for all ages.
When it comes to culture, shopping and entertainment, Leicester has endless options. The city is home to the National Space Centre and Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, while shopping destinations such as Fosse Park and Highcross Leicester (both around 15 minutes away) offer a range of high street favourites.
