Getting to and from Westoning

Just 3 minutes’ drive from the M1, The Manors is ideally located for those needing to regularly commute to the likes of Luton, Northampton, Leicester, and London. 

We’re just a 4-minute drive from Harlington train station too, which offers several regular services to the likes of Brighton, Bedford, Flitwick, and Luton Airport Parkway. 
There’s a bus stop conveniently only a 2-minute walk from our development, with bus routes to places like Toddington, Bedford, Maulden, and Milton Brown.
Additionally, Luton Airport is just an 18-minute drive away.

Things to do in Westoning

We’re within walking distance of several of Westoning’s more popular amenities. This includes the Westoning Village Hall – about 7 minutes’ walk from our development – which runs several weekly social clubs including bowls, yoga, pilates, and a sewing bee. 

Then there’s Westoning Public Park, 6 minutes’ walk away, which offers visitors both a large football pitch as well as a play park for your little ones.

We’re also 8 minutes’ drive from the Flitwick Leisure Centre - offering a gym, a swimming pool, a sports hall, and two football pitches. 

There’s a village store about 3 minutes’ walk from our new homes as well as a number of supermarkets, including a Tesco and a Waitrose, within 4 miles of our development. 

Popular schools in Westoning

Unlike much of the UK, Westoning operates a 3-tiered schooling system: students attend ‘Lower’ and ‘Middle’ schools before moving on to secondary school at 13. Nearby lower schools include: 

● Westoning Lower School - Westoning Lower is the closest school to the development and is located a 5-minute walk away. It accepts children between the ages of 2 and 9. 

● Flitwick Lower School - The school is just 4 minutes’ drive away, in the neighbouring town of Flitwick, and accepts children between the ages of 2 and 9. 

● Harlington Lower School - Harlington Lower is about a 3-minute drive away and caters for children ages 4 to 9. 

● Greenfield CofE VC Lower School - Is a Church of England voluntary controlled school. The school caters for children ages 2 to 9 and is about 5 minutes’ drive away. 

Children between 9 and 13 attend middle school in the Westoning area. Your local middle schools include: 

● Woodland Middle School - Situated in the neighbouring town of Flitwick, Woodland is 5 minutes’ drive away.  

There are also two secondary schools within 10 minutes’ drive of our new homes. These are: 

● Redborne Upper School and Community College - a community college for students between the ages of 13 and 19. The school is 9 minutes’ drive from our development.

● Harlington Upper School - connected to Harlington Lower, Harlington Upper accepts students from 13 up until sixth form and is just 4 minutes’ drive away. 

There’s also a nursery just 2 minutes’ drive away – Merry Poppets.

Living in Westoning

Westoning is an ideal spot if you enjoy a good hike. Situated in Bedfordshire’s green belt, the development is 9 minutes’ drive from the Sharpenhoe escarpment as well as a 5-minute drive from Flitwick and its many nature reserves. 
There’s also a road safari a 10-minute drive away in Woburn, alongside a Go Ape zipline course.
We’re also within easy reach of several English Heritage sites including the De Grey Mausoleum, Wrest Park, and Houghton House.
