Getting to and from Burton-on-Trent

Our new homes in Burton on Trent are just a minute’s drive from the A511, with this A-road providing an easy route to Ashby-de-la-Zouch (half an hour’s drive away) and Leicester (a little over an hour away).

We’re also just 10 minutes away from the A50, which provides a direct route to Stoke-on-Trent (about 40 minutes away). Other nearby towns include Derby, Lichfield, Polesworth, and Uttoxeter – all of which can be reached in under 40 minutes.

The development is within walking distance of a bus stop, with the bus stop on Harehedge Lane – 10 minutes’ walk away – providing services to both Burton Town Centre and neighbouring Uttoxeter. 

Burton train station is just 8 minutes’ drive from our development, with a number of trains running from Burton on Trent to Birmingham New Street (35 minutes away) and Nottingham (40 minutes away). There are also direct services offered to destinations further out, including Cardiff, Dundee and Edinburgh.

In terms of shopping, there’s a Co-op within 3 minutes’ drive of our development and a retail park 9 minutes away – the Middleway Retail Park - which features, amongst other stores, a Matalan and a B&M as well as a Cineworld cinema. 

Burton also runs an indoor market a few times a week from its Market Hall – a 12-minute drive from our development. The market takes place on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

 There are several primary schools near our development. These include: 

● Saint Modwen's Catholic Primary School - Situated 12 minutes’ walk away from our development, Saint Modwen’s is a Catholic school that caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11. 

● Outwoods Primary School - 14 minutes’ walk from home, Outwoods also accepts children from 3-11. 

● Mosley Academy Primary School - The Mosley Academy is a 3-minute drive away and takes on pupils between the ages of 4 and 11. 

There are also four secondary schools in the local area, including: 

● The de Ferrers Academy - The de Ferrers Academy has two different campuses - one 15 minutes’ walk away from our development and the other slightly further out – about a 25-minute walk. The school offers a sixth form option – catering to children from the age of 11 till they’re 18. 

● Fountains High School - Fountains is a special school catering to children with special educational needs and disabilities from the age of 11 till they’re 18. The school is 3 minutes’ drive away.
