Situated in South East England, just south of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, and north of Greater London, the county is also bordered by Hertfordshire to the east and Oxfordshire to the west.

Transport in Buckinghamshire
There are about 29 active railway stations across Buckinghamshire, with Milton Keynes Central and High Wycombe being 2 of the busiest.
There are several trains that go from Milton Keynes Central to London Euston, with about 8 trains per hour heading to the capital – 3 of which are fast services provided by Avanti West Coast which get you into Euston in around half an hour.
There are also a number of services that go from Milton Keynes Central to the likes of Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Preston, Crewe, and Liverpool Lime Street.
From High Wycombe, commuters can catch services to London Marylebone, with about 5 trains per hour following that route. It takes about 25 minutes to get from High Wycombe to London Marylebone by train.
Other routes offered include services to the likes of Banbury, Oxford and Birmingham Moor Street.
Several motorways also pass through the county, including the M4 and the M40, with the M1 just sitting outside of the county’s boundaries.

High Wycombe is home to the one of the bigger shopping centres in Buckinghamshire – the Eden Shopping Centre.
In Eden, you’ll find the likes of M&S, Next, H&M, Superdry, TK Maxx, Waterstones, Primark, and over 100 other stores.
However, in Milton Keynes you’ll find one of the bigger shopping centres in all of the UK – The Centre:mk – which is made up of 2 malls, The Centre:mk and Midsummer Place, housing over 240 shops and restaurants, ranging from John Lewis to Swarovski.
Aylesbury also has a number of big shopping centres, including Friars Square – which counts the likes of House of Fraser and H&M amongst its stores – and Hale Leys – boasting the likes of WHSmith and Clarks.

Perhaps best known for its exceptional landscape, living in Buckinghamshire promises to provide you with excellent walking routes, with the county perhaps best known for the stunning Chiltern Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Aylesbury also has its own train station, with it taking about an hour by train to get from Aylesbury to London Marylebone.

Winslow
Winslow is a market town, about 13 minutes’ drive from Buckingham and 25 minutes from Milton Keynes.
A fairly small town that’s substituted big brand high street stores for a local butcher, quirky cafés and several independent stores, Winslow nevertheless has everything you’ll need including a Co-op, a GP surgery and a post office.
Now is as good a time as any to move to Winslow, with the upcoming East West Rail – connecting Oxford to Cambridge – is set to pass through Winslow.

Gerrards Cross
A town only a little over 20 minutes away from London Marylebone by train, Gerrards Cross sits on the outskirts of the London Borough of Hillingdon, which is only 18 minutes’ drive away.
