There are plenty of lovely places to visit in the local area. Brereton Heath Nature reserve is an ideal setting for a relaxing day out . There are a selection of wide open spaces that make the perfect picnic spot or time for team games with the family making this conveniently located nature park a fantastic destination. 
Holmes Chapel may only be small but one of Cheshire biggest attractions is right on its doorstep, Jodrell Bank Observatory, which is home to the world famous Lovell Telescope. Discover everything from how the universe began, what a black hole is, to what the big bang would have sounded like and everything there is to know about constellations. They also host a number of events throughout the year that not only involves the locals, but brings tourism in from across the country. The Blue Dot festival is held annually and features a weekend of music, science, arts and cosmic culture, an event certainly not to be missed.

Shopping

The local shops in Holmes Chapel also have a lot to offer, with a variety of independently family run businesses and quaint little boutiques within the town centre, along with our everyday essential amenities such as the Post Office, Pharmacy, Hairdressers and of course the famous Mandeville bakery. There is an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants too, including Don Alberto, serving traditional Italian cuisine and authentic wines , as well as The George and Dragon who offer a contemporary British menu and a wide selection of craft beers. The Cobbles Tea room is a little hidden gem, who pride themselves on their home made cooking and baking and excellent afternoon teas. 

If cosy country pubs are more your cup of tea, the Bears Head is right on your doorstep, a charming  establishment  which allows you to relax and dine in front of roaring open fires overlooking the picturesque Cheshire countryside. They pride themselves on their offering of fresh, seasonal dishes and endless array of local cask ales.  

Holmes Chapel is only 27 miles from the fantastic city of Manchester and with such excellent transport links you could enjoy all the city has to offer within a short commute. 
Manchester is a shoppers paradise, the Arndale centre is full of flagship high street stores, The Exchange Square and King Street offers upmarket stores such as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. 
The Northern Quarter is known for its Bohemian style with many independent stores. Transport Links

Holmes Chapel train station sits on the Crewe to Manchester Line, providing two half hourly services departing to Manchester Piccadilly, with stops on this route include Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Manchester Airport, taking just 45 minutes on a direct line, ideal for the daily commuter or the weekend shopper. The line runs over the historic Twemlow aqueduct which carries the railway over the River Dane. London can also be reached in just over two hours via the high speed service which also runs twice each hour. 
Junction 18 of the M6 motorway is only a mile and a half away from Bluebell Green, providing convenient access to a wealth of major road networks, including links to Manchester and Liverpool city centres which are less than an hour’s drive. Plus Manchester Airport is just half an hour away by car.

 

Education
