It’s also within easy reach of major northern cities, Liverpool and Manchester, with Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent sitting to its south.

With the town having its own train station, it's easy to commute to and from Runcorn. From Runcorn train station, you can catch regular services to Liverpool Lime Street, London Euston, Chester, and Birmingham New Street.

Runcorn is also located near the M56, providing southbound access to the Welsh border, with Manchester, which sits to the north of the town, only 40 minutes’ drive away. Those living in Runcorn can also reach Liverpool John Lennon Airport in as little as 15 minutes, with Liverpool city centre only half an hour away.

The town’s shopping centre, Runcorn Shopping City, has three car parks and houses a number of well-known brands, including JD Sports, Boots, Argos, and New Look, alongside eateries like Greggs and Costa Coffee.

You can also visit the Widnes Shopping Park across the Mersey, a retail park with a Marks & Spencer, The Range, Halfords, Next, River Island, and more.

Further afield, you’ll also find Liverpool ONE in nearby Liverpool and the Trafford Centre in Manchester, both of which are about 40 minutes’ drive from Runcorn.
