Where is Prescot?
Prescot is about 30 minutes’ drive from both Liverpool and Warrington. It neighbours the popular market town of St Helens, with other nearby towns including Ormskirk, Formby and Widnes. Prescot offers direct access to both the M57 and the M62, which can be used to get to Manchester in less than an hour.

Prescot’s main train station is situated in its town centre, with services offered to the likes of Liverpool Lime Street, St Helens Central and Wigan. Prescot is also about 20 minutes’ drive from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and less than 40 minutes’ drive from the Liverpool Stena Line terminal – from where you can catch ferries to Dublin.

As of October 2025, Prescot’s major shopping centre is undergoing renovations as part of the council’s plans to regenerate the area. However, the town centre offers a wide range of independent stores, cafes and bars to explore. You’ll also find a number of other local amenities, including florists, butchers and supermarkets. Prescot is also about 30 minutes’ drive from Liverpool ONE - a large shopping and entertainment centre offering several well-known high street outlets, including BOSS, H. Samuel and Marks & Spencer.

On the northern edge of Prescot is Knowsley Safari Park, the largest drive-through safari in the UK with lions, tigers, sea lions, and Andean bears all available to see. It’s a convenient day trip for residents, especially if you have an annual membership.
