Getting to and from Hereford
It's easy to access the A49 from our new homes in Hereford, with the connecting roundabout a little over a minute's drive away.
The A49 is an ideal road to be near as it provides an easy route to the likes of Leominster – about 17 minutes away, Ludlow – about half an hour away, and Shrewsbury – a little over an hour away.
There's also an access point to the A438, 5 minutes' drive away, which provides an easy and straightforward route to both Whitney-on-Wye and Wales.
You can get to Hereford Point train station in a little under 10 minutes by car, with Hereford Point running regular services to several destinations across England and Wales, including Holyhead, Cardiff, Shrewsbury, Manchester Piccadilly, and Birmingham New Street.
You'll also find a bus stop on Hedgerow Way, just a minute's walk from our development. Buses from Hedgrerow Way include services to the likes of Hereford city centre, Holmer and Bobblestock.
Things to do in Hereford
We're situated just 3 minutes' drive from a Puregym and are less than 5 minutes' drive from the Hereford City Sports Club, which offers a number of athletic and cycle tracks.
There's a community park within walking distance of our development, about 15 minutes' walk away, called the Grandstand Community Park. This multi-purpose park features a lovely little children's play area as well.
We're also 4 minutes' drive from Westfields Community Hall and a little over 7 minutes' drive from the city centre, where several markets take place over the course of the week.
You'll also find several shopping centres with 2 miles of our development, including Hereford City Centre, Old Market and Maylord Orchard.
For your day-to-day groceries, we're less than 15 minutes' walk from a Co-op and about 10 minutes' drive from both a Morrisons and a Waitrose.
Popular schools in Hereford
Our new builds in Hereford are a 5-minute drive or a 22-minute walk away from Highmore Hedgehogs Pre School, a wrap around day care option for working parents. As for primary schools, the following options are available in your area:
There are several primary schools within a few minutes' drive of our development. These include:
- St Mary CE Primary School - which is just 7 minutes' drive away and caters for children between the ages of 5 and 11.
- Wellington Primary School - Wellington is 8 minutes' drive from home and accepts students aged between 4 and 11.
- Our Lady's RC Primary School - Our Lady's is an 11-minute drive from our development and caters for students ages 4-11.
There are also a number of secondary schools nearby, including:
- Whitecross Hereford - 4 minutes' drive away from our development, Whitecross accepts children between the ages of 11 and 16.
- The Bishop of Hereford Bluecoat School - A little over 10 minutes' drive away, this Church of England school also accepts children between the ages of 11 and 16.
For anyone with toddlers, there's also Highmore Hedgehogs Pre School, about 5 minutes' drive from our development.
The Hereford College of Arts, situated 7 minutes' drive from our development, is also a great option for those looking to pursue a career in art, sculpture, game design, photography, or other jobs in the creative sector.
Living in Hereford
Hereford has a history stretching back over 1,000 years. Situated on the banks of the River Wye. Hereford is home of the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, both found in Hereford Cathedral as well as the Old House, one of the best-preserved examples of Jacobean buildings in England.
Living at Hereford Point, you'll be just 3 minutes' drive from a fantastic 9-hole golf course – the Halo Golf Course.
There's also the Weir Garden National Trust Site, about 9 minutes' drive away, and the Wyevale Wood Nature Reserve – 12 minutes' drive away.
We're ideally just 5 minutes' walk from an outdoor cinema too, and, of course, the city centre has its fair share of cinemas too, including an ODEON and the popular Courtyard Cinema.
And, if you fancy a game of bowling, we're only 10 minutes' drive from Hereford Bowl.
