Getting to and from Waterlooville
Our new homes are just a 10-minute drive away from Bedhampton railway station, with hourly services offered to London Waterloo (a little under 2 hours away by train) as well as Brighton. There are also regular trains to Portsmouth Harbour, which takes less than 15 minutes to get to by train.
There’s also a bus stop within walking distance of our development, just a 5-minute walk away, on Winston Lane. Buses that pass through here include buses to Portsmouth, Southsea and Havant, as well as buses to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Gunwhalf Quays and Berewood Primary School.
The development is also situated about half an hour from the A27, which connects Waterlooville to parts of Sussex as well as to the likes of Portsmouth and Lewes.
Things to do in Waterlooville
Woodland’s Edge sits on the outskirts of Waterlooville’s town centre, about a nine-minute drive away, with its many restaurants and cafés.
Several of the larger shops near our development can be found on Hambledon Road.
These include stores like Marks and Spencer Food Hall, Home Bargains, a four-minute drive from our development, and a big Sainsbury’s, a five-minute drive away, which is also home to an Argos.
Slightly further out, there’s both an Odeon and a Vue cinema within 25 minutes’ drive of our development.
Popular schools in Waterlooville
There are several schools just a short drive away from our development, including:
• Berewood Primary School. A member of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, Berewood caters to children ages 4-11 and is just a two-minute drive from Woodland’s Edge.
• Jubilee School, which is a five-minute drive away and caters to children ages 5-16, specifically those with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
• Purbrook Park School, a secondary school an eight-minute drive away that caters to children ages 11-16.
• Crookhurn College, a secondary school a nine-minute drive away that similarly caters to children ages 11-16.
Living in Waterlooville
The town is also known for its weekly market every Friday, with local produce, arts and crafts on offer.
