Getting to and from Lea

Just a 14-minute drive away from our development is Preston Station, from where you can catch regular train services heading to Manchester Airport (1hr 15 minutes), Edinburgh (2hr 26 minutes), and London Euston (3hr 36 minutes).

The major roads near our development include the A583 and M55, which connect Lea to the town of Blackpool, and the M6, which connects Preston to the likes of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent to the south and Lancaster, Cumbria and the Lake District to the north. 

Things to do in Lea

There’s a corner store just a four-minute walk from our development, and a Tesco Express, with an ATM, a 20-minute walk away.

Deepdale Retail Park is a 20-minute drive away and is home to several big-name stores including Aldi, Superdrug, Sports Direct, and WHSmith.

Less than a 15-minute drive away, you’ll find a wide range of independent and local brands at both the Fishergate and St George’s shopping centres. Alongside the independent stores they house, they also have several familiar brands including the likes of Pandora, River Island and M&S.

Popular schools in Lea

There are several excellent schools close to our development. These include:

  • Lea Community Primary School is right on the doorstep of our development, a three-minute drive away. The school caters to children ages 4-11 and also offers a breakfast club to students that require it.
  • Ashton Community Science College. Just a five-minute drive from our development, this secondary school offers a wide selection of subjects for KS3 and KS4 students, including GCSE Astronomy and five languages. The school caters to children ages 11-16.
  • Penwortham Girls’ High School. The only non-selective, non-fee girls’ school in the county, Penwortham offers top-quality teaching across a wide range of subjects, along with an extensive range of extracurricular activities and sports. The school caters to children ages 11-16.
  • Preston College. Just a 15-minute drive away from our development, Preston College offers apprenticeships as well as adult classes for anyone interested in further education.   

Living in Lea

Our development is just a 15-minute drive from both Preston JD Gym and Total Fitness, the latter of which is also equipped with a swimming pool.

There’s also the Preston Parkrun, a lovely community-run event held across the local Avenham and Miller parks.

For those with young families, your kids will be thoroughly entertained at Mini’s Party and Play Centre, the Wacky World Inflatable Park or the many local parks with play areas Preston offers.

Ashton Park is also ideally situated just a five-minute drive from our development.
