Getting to and from Bideford
Winsford Park is located just off Abbotsham Road, offering easy access to the A39 Atlantic Highway and the M5 – connecting the development to the nearby Exeter, 44 miles away.
Barnstaple train station is a 20-minute drive away from our development, offering wheelchair accessibility and regular services to places like Exeter (a 1 hour and 5-minute train journey. From Exeter, commuters can catch trains that then take them onto London, getting into the capital within 3 and a half hours.
There is also a bus stop, just a 10-minute walk from our development, which offers a service to Bideford, getting you into the seaside town within 20 minutes.
The nearest airport is Exeter Airport, an hour and a half away. There’s also Newquay Airport, which take 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to by car.
Things to do in Bideford
For everyday essentials, nearby supermarkets such as Lidl and Aldi are less than a 10-minute drive away from our development. Alternatively, you can visit Affinity Devon Outlet Shopping Centre, just a 5-minute drive away. This is home to a variety of high-street shops like Clarks, Cotton Traders, Holland and Barret, as well as an Asda supermarket.
To the east of the development, there’s the town of Barnstaple, a 20-minute drive away. Barnstaple is a lively town with plenty of shopping options, including a Marks & Spencer outlet, a Primark and the spacious indoor market, the Barnstaple Pannier Market.
The beautiful Abbotsham Cliffs are also just a 7-minute drive away. An area known for its beautiful seaside walking trails, or development is also situated near several other beaches, including the Westward Ho! Beach, the Greysands Beach and the Saunton Sands.

- St Helen’s Church of England Primary School. Just a 20-minute walk away from our development, this school caters to children aged 2–11. It offers a supportive learning environment, with activities like reading workshops and a breakfast club.

Living in Bideford
Situated near the North Devon coastline, our new homes are just a short distance from the North Devon Coast National Landscape. This stunning 66-mile nature reserve features spectacular cliffs, waterfalls, and coves.
On the doorstep of our development, 15 minutes’ walk away, there’s the Adventure Camping Site, where kids can get involved in climbing, archery and mountain boarding.
For more family fun, The Big Sheep, a former family-owned farm turned amusement park, offers a variety of attractions. The Big Sheep offers visitors a wide selection of rides, restaurants, shops, laser tag, swan pedalos, and both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Like the Adventure Camping Site, The Big Sheep will also be right on your doorstep, being a 15-minute walk away.
Bideford also has a thriving arts scene, with several galleries and museums minutes away from our development, including The Burton at Bideford Art Gallery and Museum and the Bideford Railway Heritage Centre, both a 10-minute drive away.
