The Area Near Bracknell in Berkshire

Binfield is a bustling village located in Berkshire, just 2 miles from Bracknell, 3 miles from Wokingham and 11 miles from Reading, making it a very well connected place to call home.

The village of Binfield has an interesting history with the village pub – the Stag and Hounds reportedly being originally a hunting lodge used by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. It is said to have marked the centre of Windsor Forest. It has since evolved from a lodge to a coaching inn to the cosy village pub that it is now. In addition to this pub, you find two other pubs, a doctor’s surgery, a dentist, a chemist and a post office within the Co-op store, coffee shop, a fish & chip shop and other takeaways.

Things to do in Binfield

If sport and being active outdoors is your thing, you’ll find four parks, a cricket club and a well-supported football club with teams for all ages in Binfield. Bracknell Forest is great for walking, trail cycling as well as mountain biking. The John Nike Leisure Sports Centre in Bracknell has the longest artificial ski slope in the south-east, plus offers tobogganing and ice skating.
