Everything you need, all around you

Aside from the local amenities on offer in the village, Solihull town centre has so much to offer and is only an easy 15 minute bus journey away. The town is noted for its architecture, including its timber framed Tudor style houses and shops. Further evidence of the town's rich history lies in the Grade I listed parish church of St. Alphege - a handsome example of English Gothic church architecture, with its traditional spire 168 feet high. 

Solihull offers a fantastic range of shopping options. Mell Square is a 1960's style open-air shopping centre, while there is also a pedestrianised High Street with all the shopping brands you would expect. Touchwood is also a place for retail therapy - a large shopping centre with everything under one roof. And if that isn't enough, the all new and exciting Parkgate Shopping Centre in Shirley is just a 9 minute drive away. And for more food-focused shopping, Cheswick Place is only 3 miles away from Tesco Extra in Solihull.

For when you're feeling active, Solihull has a number of leisure facilities. There is a public swimming pool on the edge of Tudor Grange and two sports centres - Tudor Grange Sports Centre and North Solihull Sports Centre. For outdoor activities, there is a skate park or you could enjoy sailing on Olton Reservoir.

There are plenty of parks and nature reserves for outdoor living near Cheswick Place - whether it's a family walk or a picnic. Every year since the early 1930's, people have enjoyed the Solihull Carnival. It now takes place on the first weekend after the June half term in Tudor Grange Park. For those considering private schooling there are plenty of options in the Solihull area with independent day schools exclusively for girls or exclusively for boys as well as mixed sex options including Ruckleigh which won the Sunday Times Independent Preparatory School of the Year 2014.
