Move to ‘one of the happiest places to live in the UK’

News that Worcester has been voted the third happiest place to live in the West Midlands, comes as Bloor Homes has released a testimonial from a customer extolling all the reasons why she loves the cathedral city

News that Worcester has been voted the third happiest place to live in the West Midlands, comes as Bloor Homes has released a testimonial from a customer extolling all the reasons why she loves the cathedral city.

The Rightmove study ranks areas on 13 happiness factors, including a sense of pride, belonging and a sense of community – and Worcester scored highly on the report.

Agreeing with the findings, homebuyer Holly described her experience buying at Bloor Homes’ The Grove development in Worcester as ‘the best move we’ve ever made’.
It’s no wonder that Worcester has proven so popular with buyers, with house prices up on average two per cent compared to 2021.

Holly said: “We have been very lucky in the fact that everyone to do with Bloor have been absolutely fantastic; they've really looked after us it really feels like they've had their arm around us. To a certain extent they knew how challenging the move was, and they've literally looked after us the whole time. I cannot express how fantastic they have been.

“If someone was thinking of buying a property at The Grove, I would tell them absolutely to go ahead. I would say it would be the best decision that you've ever made - moving to The Grove and living in a Bloor home has made a dramatic difference to our life. We're so happy; it was definitely the best move that we've ever made.”

The location of The Grove was one of the biggest selling points for Holly, with the development including an ‘informal’ country park and adjoining fishing lake. Holly describes the development as ‘ticking all the boxes’ for her and her girls.

As a popular development under three miles from Worcester town centre, The Grove is now over 95% sold and has only 11 three and four-bedroom homes remaining, including the three-bedroom showhome to be released to the market soon.

As well as providing brand new, low maintenance, energy efficient homes at The Grove, a selection of these final homes also include PV solar panels.

Those looking for a more rural location should look no further than Elgar Park, a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes in Lower Broadheath, ten minutes from Worcester.

There are a variety of different schemes to help homebuyers purchase at both developments, with homes at The Grove benefitting from a £7,000 Deposit Boost*, and buyers at Elgar Park enjoying £7,000 cashback**
