Sales Advisor secures her dream home to welcome a new family member

Fantastic property design and our handy Home Exchange* scheme made Prestbury Chase the best option for new parents Milly and James Hartley.

The upsizing couple, who previously owned a one-bedroom apartment, made the move to a three-bedroom semi-detached Studland house type at Prestbury Chase with the help of Bloor’s Home Exchange scheme – just in time to welcome baby Olive.

Milly, 27, who works at Bloor Homes as a Sales Advisor, said: “We wanted to buy a family home and the layout of the property was a very important factor for us.

“Before I went on maternity leave I was based in the Prestbury Chase sales office and had the chance to get to know all my neighbours who purchased near our house. But most importantly, I chose the property type which is most ideal for our needs due to its spaciousness.

“The Studland is perfect for us because it has a generously sized integrated garage and beautiful garden. Our favourite thing about the house is the fact it’s new and we don’t have to worry about any maintenance costs.”

Using the Home Exchange* scheme, Milly and James didn’t have to worry about finding a buyer for their old home or paying estate agents fees. All of that was taken care of by Bloor, who made them an offer for their old apartment based on independent valuations of the property.

Milly added: “We had a really stressful time trying to sell our old property with the buyer pulling out last minute, so using Home Exchange was the best solution. That way I could concentrate on my pregnancy and our plans for the family home.

“Another significant benefit was that we could stay in the apartment until our new home was ready to move into.”
