The sky's the limit for Tabitha's bedroom design at Cheswick Place

A school pupil who designed a creative sky-themed bedroom for a new homes development has visited the site to explore the room she helped to create in Shirley, near Solihull.

Tabitha Harrison, a student at Cheswick Green Primary School, designed the colourful scheme which won first prize in the competition run for one of our Showhomes at Cheswick Place.

Tabitha was welcomed to the showhome with her family to see the finished product before the doors were opened to the public, as a thank you for her efforts.

Sally Holt, Regional Sales Manager for Bloor Homes Western, said: “It was great to show Tabitha and her family around the showhome – particularly the room which she helped to design. We hope that they enjoyed looking around the home as much as we enjoyed welcoming them to Cheswick Place.

“All of the competition entries were great and we were very impressed with the standard of design and initiative shown, but Tabitha’s sky and weather-related theme was so original that it stood out over the rest of the entries.

“We have worked very hard to ensure the bedroom fully encapsulates Tabitha’s thoughts and creativity, and we hope she has been satisfied with the outcome.”

The scheme, which includes a rainbow across the walls and a raincloud with falling multi-coloured raindrops, was used by interior designer Sarah Thomas to create the bedroom in the showhome.

Cheswick Green Primary School is less than a mile from Cheswick Place, a development of two to five bedroom houses and bungalows off Tanworth Lane.
