BLOOR HOMES SOUTH WEST APPOINTS NEW COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Bloor Homes has appointed a new Commercial Director who will oversee growth in the company's South West region
A new Commercial Director has been appointed at Bloor Homes South West.
Richard Robinson has joined the privately-owned housebuilder from Persimmon, where he was Head of Commercial.
Based at the company’s regional office in Swindon, the 43-year-old married father of two will be responsible for growing the business across the South West region.
Richard, who lives in Bristol, began his career as a Trainee Surveyor at John Mowlem Homes before joining Beazer Homes as an Assistant Surveyor. He later moved onto Countryside Properties, rising through the ranks during a seven-year stint to become Managing Surveyor, before spending 15 years at Persimmon.
He said Bloor Homes’ reputation for quality and investing in its staff were major factors in his decision to join the privately-owned developer.
Richard said: “Having worked for a mass volume PLC for the past 15 years, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to progress my career with Bloor Homes, a family-owned business which has an excellent reputation within the industry.
“As a housebuilder, we are aiming to increase the number of new homes we deliver each year and establish the Bloor Homes brand in new geographical areas within the region, and I am looking forward to playing my part in that growth.
“Although the industry still faces some challenges, not least the uncertainty surrounding Brexit, there is still a huge demand for housing and this offers a great opportunity for housebuilders like Bloor Homes.
“The company has always had an excellent reputation for the quality of their product and their staff always speak very highly of them. They have a great track record for retaining and developing their own staff. Several people within my own department have come up through the ranks and I think that speaks volumes for their approach to staff development.”
