New green housing development launches in Keynsham

Two showhomes at a superb new housing development set in the lush, green Somerset countryside near Keynsham have been opened, providing prospective buyers with the chance to see for themselves what this highly desirable location has to offer.

Sara Parker, Sales Director for Bloor Homes South West, the developer building the Bloor Homes at Keynsham development, said: “Our new Keynsham development is set in a very attractive rural location, surrounded by woodland, rivers and streams, ideal for those who love the great outdoors or who are simply looking to live in a beautiful and tranquil location.
“The homes benefit from a good range of local amenities close by, including primary and secondary schools, a convenience store and local pub, while the bustling high street with its array of high street shops, cafes and restaurants is less than two miles away.
“In keeping with its setting, the development has been designed to work with its environment. Allotments have been included for residents to grow their own fruit and vegetables and the provision of wildlife corridors, grassy play areas, footpaths and cycleways bordered by new and enhanced hedgerows and planting will encourage birds, insects and mammals.
“The homes themselves incorporates elements of traditional materials, such as blue lias stone red brick and red roman and reconstituted slate roof tiles. Our vision here is to create a distinctive, high quality place which promotes healthy, happy and sustainable living.”
The development on the 4.3-hectare site off Charlton Road, will see the construction of 100 new homes, of which 30 will be made available as affordable housing. Construction work is progressing well, and the first phase of homes completed for residents took place end of June.
The two show homes, set to launch 27th & 28th July, are both four-bedroom properties, showcasing the very best in spacious family living. Beautifully designed and finished, the homes both have light and bright open-plan kitchen/dining/family rooms, as well as a separate lounge.
A range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are being built at the Keynsham development, priced from £284,950 to £489,950 offering something for everyone, from first-time buyers, to young families or those with growing teenagers. A train station in Keynsham and good road links make this the ideal location for anyone working in Bristol or Bath.
Sara Parker continues: “Initial interest in the Keynsham development has been high so we would encourage prospective house hunters to come along to the site to explore the show homes for themselves and see what the development has to offer.”
