The sponsorship carries a personal connection to Bloor Homes' Harlestone Park development, with Under 9s coach Ray McCarthy having made the development his new home in September 2025.

With the team training locally in Duston, the partnership is a natural extension of Bloor Homes' dedication to investing in grassroots sport and supporting the families and communities in the areas where it builds.

Ray McCarthy, Under 9s Coach at GLK, said: “We're grateful to Bloor Homes for the donation and support for the Under 9s team. As someone who has recently moved to Harlestone Park, it's great to see that Bloor Homes really does extend the community spirit beyond the just the residents.

“The new kit has given the squad a real lift and the children are absolutely thrilled to wear it. Support like this makes a huge difference to our club, which relies on the goodwill of local businesses and volunteers to keep going.”

Carl Slater, Regional Managing Director for Bloor Homes South Midlands, said: “We're delighted to support the young players at GLK Under 9s, and it makes this sponsorship even more special knowing that their coach Ray is one of our residents at Harlestone Park.

“Grassroots football plays such an important role in bringing communities together and helping children develop teamwork, confidence and a love of sport. Supporting local clubs like GLK is something we're proud of and we wish them every success.”

Youth football provides vital opportunities for children to stay active, build new skills and form lasting friendships.
