Fabulous Four! Bloor Homes’ North West celebrates four wins at NHBC Pride in the Job Awards

Bloor Homes’ North West region based in Holmes Chapel is celebrating the recognition of site managers Andy Worthington, Lewis Legge, Paul Roberts and Thomas Potter at this year’s National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

The awards are described by NHBC as ‘being at the heart of its mission to raise standards in housebuilding’. Each year they celebrate the UK’s best site managers across the whole UK, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence to support the  delivery of new homes to the highest quality.

They are also known across the industry as ‘the competition all site managers want to win’.

Andy Worthington, Site Manager at Beamish Place in Sandymoor, Lewis Legge Site Manager at Holly Grange in Warrington, Paul Roberts, Site Manager at Foxcote in Cheadle, and Thomas Potter, Site Manager at Elowen Garden Village in Whiston will now be in the running to win the NHBC’s national Supreme Award.

Andrew Ward, Construction Director for Bloor Homes’ North West region said: “All four Managers are dedicated and have hard work and team spirit at the core of their ethics they have all come from trades backgrounds being former Joiners.

“Lewis has been at the company for 9 years and started as a Joinery apprentice - Holly Grange is his first development as a newly promoted Site Manager. Andy Worthington joined us 5 years ago as an experienced Manager, Paul Roberts joined the company 9 years ago and was promoted to Site Manger 4 years ago and has won an award every year since, and Tom Potter has been with us for 7 years and has just been promoted to Site Manager.

“I am immensely proud of all four of the Managers who are an intrinsic part of our Team and demonstrate uncompromising quality standards and promote good teamwork on their developments.”

Overall, 22 Bloor Homes site managers from 8 regions were amongst the 444 award winners selected by the NHBC from an initial pool of around 8,000.

In a joint statement, Divisional Chairmen, Andrew Marns and Richard Oldroyd at Bloor Homes said: “We are delighted that the NHBC have recognised the dedication and focus our site teams demonstrate in delivering Quality building standards. It is also testament to the hard work, across all of our regions, in producing quality new homes.
