Standish Panthers Junior FC scores sponsorship from Bloor Homes

A local football team in Wigan, Standish Panthers Junior FC, has secured sponsorship from Bloor Homes North West, the housebuilder responsible for delivering the new Standish Grange development off Pepper Lane

Bloor Homes’ Standish Grange development has given the club £950, which will be used to provide match day home kits for Standish Panther’s Under 9’s Sabres and Raptors and Under 13’s Stars teams.

Anita Gerrard-Price, Communications Officer at Standish Panthers JFC, which plays at Wigan Sports Club, said: “Standish Panthers is a not-for-profit club run solely by volunteers. We have over 200 members across 19 teams, from Under 7’s to Under 17’s. “In order to make football accessible to all young people in our local community, we try to keep monthly fees for our players to a minimum. New match kits for the children is one of the single largest on-going expenses for the club, so we are extremely grateful for the support and generosity of local businesses, like Bloor Homes, which helps us provide the best kit, equipment and facilities we can for our young players.

“Thanks to Bloor Homes, our Under 9’s Sabres and Raptors teams, and Under 13’s Stars team will have a brand-new kit for the forthcoming 2019/2020 season. The children are all looking forward to wearing their new kits for their home matches next season.”

Sarah Ransom, Marketing Manager at Bloor Homes North West, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide support for Standish Panthers JFC once again. This is the second year our Standish Grange development has been working with the club. “As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to working with the communities where we develop. We hope their new kits bring the Sabres, Raptors and Stars good luck for the next season
