Local football team nets sponsorship from Bloor Homes
Ruskin Park Rangers, a new football team for under 13’s in Crewe, has received a donation of £400 from Bloor Homes North West.
The national housebuilder is currently building a beautiful range of three- and four-bedroom homes at its Saxon Gate development off Parkers Road. The development is ideally located on the outskirts of the town, with stunning countryside on the doorstep. The developer provided the donation to help the fledgling club purchase new away kit for its team.
Part of the Ruskin Park Rovers, the team currently has 14 team members and plays competitive matches in the South Cheshire Youth League. Training sessions take place at Cumberland Sports Arena, with matches played at King George V Playing Fields. Louise Greenwood, Chair of Ruskin Park Rangers, said: “This is our first season as a football club, so we are hugely grateful to Bloor Homes for their kind donation which has helped us to buy new away kit. Not only does it look fantastic, but it has provided a real sense of identity for the players.
“The team were all so excited when they heard. It means the world to them to have their own professional looking kit that they can show off and wear with pride. Voluntary-run clubs, such as ours, rely on local businesses like Bloor Homes to help us get off the ground and make taking part in football accessible to all. “We are looking forward to playing more matches in our brand-new kit. Hopefully it will bring us luck in future games!”
Sarah Ransom, Marketing Manager at Bloor Homes North West, said: “Bloor Homes is committed to helping the communities where we build, so when we heard about Ruskin Park Rangers’ need for a new kit, we were keen to help. “It’s wonderful to be able to help grassroots community groups, such as Ruskin Park Rangers, who provide a fun, friendly and welcoming environment for young children to come together to play football. We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming matches.”
