Construction work starts on new development Norton Hall Meadow

Bloor Homes has begun construction work on its new housing development in Norton Canes.

Bloor Homes is building 135 homes on a 3.6-hectare site off Norton Hall Lane, to the south of the village.

The Norton Hall Meadow development will include a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, as well as green open space and landscaped gardens.

It is part of a wider 450-home development which received the green light from Cannock Chase District Council in July this year.

The new site will be served by a new roundabout which is to be constructed on Norton Hall Lane and will also serve as a new gateway in to Norton Canes.
Bloor Homes will be releasing the first homes for sale in spring 2019.

Paul Degg, Regional Managing Director of Bloor Homes Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have begun construction work on our Norton Hall Meadow development, which will provide a range of much-needed quality homes for the local area.

“The development will also include areas of green open space and will deliver a significant investment in local services and infrastructure through a Section 106 planning agreement.

“Norton Hall Meadow will cater for a wide range of buyers, from those looking to get on the property ladder to downsizers and growing families, and we look forward to welcome visitors to the development in the spring of next year.

As part of the development, Bloor Homes will provide financial contributions of around £700,000 towards local services and infrastructure.

This will include £15,000 towards junction improvements, £195,000 for sport and recreational facilities, £195,000 towards on-site open space maintenance, £150,000 towards a new bus service and in the region of £140,000 for education.
