Local Rugby club scores kit sponsorship from Bloor Homes
Players from North Petherton Rugby Club have been given a boost thanks to a sponsorship package from a local housebuilder.
Bloor Homes South West, which is building homes a short drive from the ground at Wilstock Village, Bridgwater wanted to show its support for the club and the local community by making this donation.
As part of the sponsorship package, the players have received new branded kits and training shorts, while the housebuilder’s adverts are appearing on pitch boards, and on apps and social media.
The team’s captain Mac Taylor approached Bloor Homes about the possibility of supplying new kits, as he also works for the company as an Assistant Site Manager.
Sandra Dixon, Sales Director for Bloor Homes South West, said: “At Bloor, we do always try to donate money to local communities and good causes where we can, but this request was particularly close to our hearts as it came from Mac.
“Mac has been part of the rugby club since 2014 and has worked for Bloor Homes for about the same amount of time. So we knew how engrained the rugby club is to local life in North Petherton, and how much this sponsorship would be appreciated.
“North Petherton has a lovely community feel, and nowhere is it more apparent than the rugby club. It’s a real hub for local people and we’re delighted that we were able to provide this sponsorship to help the players feel proud on the pitch.”
Bloor is building two, three and four-bedroom homes at Wilstock Village, just down the road from the club.
