Ivybridge 10k races ahead with housebuilders donation
A local Ivybridge 10k race was boosted by a donation from housebuilder Bloor Homes.
The Ivybridge 10k took place on Saturday 27th May, with a huge 504 runners finishing the race, which looped past Bloor’s Filham Chase development off Exeter Road. The housebuilder was one of the headline sponsors of the event, with banners lining the course and its logo on the official race t-shirt and finishing line.
Bradley Davison, Managing Director of Bloor Homes Exeter, said: “As soon as we were approached about sponsoring the Ivybridge 10k we knew that we wanted to – after all it’s such a fantastic event which involves hundreds of runners and shows what a great local community there is around our Filham Chase development.
“Not only that but it virtually runs past the doors of the new homes we’re building, so it was the ideal opportunity to get out there and cheer people on. In years to come we hope that buyers of our new homes here will also be joining the ranks of those running.
“We’re so glad that we could contribute to arranging such a successful event and very much look forward to many more wonderful community gatherings in Ivybridge.”
The fastest man on the day was Jim Cole from Tavistock Run Project with a time of 32.32, while Bex Ezra-Ham beat the women’s record by six seconds to come in at 36.33.
