Elowen Garden Village named Development of the Year
Bloor Homes’ Elowen Garden Village development in Knowsley has been recognised as ‘Development of the Year’ at this year’s Knowsley Business Awards.
Held at the end of November, the Awards ‘celebrate the energy and determination and success of organisations and individuals in Knowlsey who are making a valuable contribution to the local and regional economy.'
James Clark, Managing Director for Bloor Homes’ North West region, said: “We are really pleased to be recognised by our peers in Knowsley for our work at Elowen Garden Village. We take enormous pride in working on this project, one of just 14 garden villages formally named by the government.
“Our site manager at the development, Tom Potter, recently won a prestigious Seal of Excellence at the National Home Builders (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards 2023 for his work at Elowen Garden Village, having already won a Pride in the Job Quality Award this summer for his work here. To have the hard work and dedication of our team recognised locally really means a lot.”
Only winners of the Quality Award can go through to receive a Seal of Excellence – given to those who show ‘true quality excellence and encourage and motivate their teams to build new homes to an exceptional standard’.
The government-designated garden villages and towns launched in 2017 are designed to provide locally-led homes that communities need, whilst boosting new jobs and facilities boosting local economies too.
Bloor Homes has worked alongside Knowsley Council to produce a lovely new community. Alongside its delivery of 330 new, lower carbon, energy efficient homes at Elowen Garden Village, the developer has provided over £3 million in Section 106 contributions for Knowsley Council to use on local infrastructure. Further contributions will pay for green open spaces and parks in the local area.
