Bloor Homes has welcomed the Bank of England’s decision to cut interest rates this month (August 2025).
Bloor Homes has welcomed the Bank of England’s decision to cut interest rates this month (August 2025). The move to lower the rate from 4.25% to 4% means rates are at the lowest level since March 2023.
As a result, a number of lenders have followed suit and are offering competitive rates to existing homeowners who may be looking to move, as well as first time buyers.
A spokesperson for Bloor Homes said: “The rate cut it significant for those looking to secure a mortgage to purchase one of our homes right now, but of course it does also depend on current circumstances, lenders and any existing mortgage.
“Whatever the circumstances, we have a range of packages designed to support those wishing to move from an existing property, or those who are buying a home for the first time. Our friendly sales teams can provide all the information needed for potential purchasers to discuss their options with an independent financial adviser, and make informed choices about their next move.”
Bloor Homes is a Five Star Housebuilder, which means it is recognised by leading industry body the Home Builders Federation as providing consistently high-quality homes across all nine of its regions in England.
This month the developer also celebrated receiving its 5000th Trustpilot Review, with Bloor Homes’ purchasers giving an outstanding Customer Satisfaction score of 95.5%.
The spokesperson adds: “Congratulations to all our staff on reaching this impressive milestone – the ethos, hard work and passion of teams and placing customers at the heart of everything we do are pivotal in maintaining the high standards our customers have come to associate with the new homes we build, and the experience they have with us before, during and after they move in.”
