Bloor Homes celebrates New Homes Week 2026
To mark the start of New Homes Week 2026 (NHW), Bloor Homes is celebrating its new homes and the many benefits of buying new.
Now in its 21st year, the annual NHW campaign launched by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) aims to highlight the benefits of new build homes and provide a platform for the home building industry, homeowners, and potential buyers to recognise the value of modern developments.
The campaign focuses on the dedicated support home builders can provide to help every step of the way through the buying purchase; the buyer support schemes and incentives to help make their purchase, and the ability to move home with no forward chain, something Bloor Homes is keen to highlight.
The theme of this year’s week-long event is ‘Power to Move’, showcasing the many advantages of buying a new home vs an old one, and how simple it can be to start the process of moving home.
This year, New Homes Week is headed up by well-known online presenters, lifestyle authority Olivia Bowen and award-winning TV presenter and qualified mortgage adviser Tayo Oguntonade.
Mark Powell, Group Sales & Marketing Director for Bloor Homes, said, “New Homes Week is the perfect time for people to really do their homework and make informed choices about buying new, and the ways available to them to make it happen which are not available in the second-hand homes market.
“Knowledge is power and this week is all about helping people understand the many benefits of buying a new home with us. There’s never a better time to find out more if you are thinking of moving home in 2026. We are inviting people to follow our social channels this week where we go into more detail and celebrate some of our own purchaser’s experiences of buying new with us.”
Each day during New Homes Week focuses on a different benefit:
• Feb 2 focuses on breaking down barriers to moving home and exploring the ways Bloor Homes can support your move
• Feb 3 looks at empowering home buyers to prioritise happiness, time and quality of life by choosing a home that lets them get on with living, including potential savings and lower maintenance costs compared with many older homes.
• Feb 4 highlights quality construction standards, the level of consumer protection, and high satisfaction rates
• Feb 5 explores how developer incentives and support schemes can help overcome financial hurdles and make homeownership more accessible
• Feb 6 demonstrates how new build homes are far more cost and energy efficient than second hand homes
• Feb 7 examines how new build homes can reduce the uncertainty and unexpected costs associated with moving home since every element in a new build is brand new and protected by robust warranties and guarantees.
• Feb 8 showcases how new build developments create unique opportunities for residents to form connections with neighbours who are also starting fresh, resulting in welcoming communities where everyone belongs from day one.
Neil Jefferson, Chief Executive at the Home Builders Federation, said: “Buying a home marks a major milestone in our lives, yet for many, achieving that dream has become increasingly challenging. This New Homes Week we’re spotlighting the much-needed support home builders provide to make buying a new home more accessible - removing barriers and reducing uncertainty to make the goal of homeownership more achievable. By ensuring people understand their options and the benefits of buying a new build, we hope to empower more would-be buyers to take those steps to moving and beginning the next chapter of their lives.”
