Founded by John Bloor in Measham, Leicestershire in 1969, the company has grown into a hugely successful business which employs over 1200 people across the country.
In its five decades of development, Bloor Homes has created hundreds of communities, building not just houses, but schools, transport infrastructure and green spaces that have been enjoyed for generations.
The developer has earned a reputation both within the industry and among house buyers for the quality of its product and is eagerly anticipating the NHBC rating in the HBF’s 2018 National New Homes customer satisfaction survey and fully expect it to be 5*, which will be a record for the business.
The family-run business, whose head office is still located in Measham, has established itself as a major national housebuilder, with seven regional offices across England and developments in locations from Devon to East Anglia and the North West.
The developer built in excess of 3200 homes in 2018 and is planning to deliver even more this year.
And although the company has grown significantly over the past five decades, Bloor Homes has retained its ethos as a family business which values its employees and has a strong commitment to customer service.
The housebuilder has a proud tradition of supporting and nurturing its staff and promoting from within, something which is reflected in the fact that 102 members of staff past and present have been inducted into Bloor Homes’ Silver Club of employees who have given 25 years of service to the company.
One of the key themes for Bloor Homes in 2019 is ‘Making Every Year Count’, a fitting sentiment for a company which has already achieved so much and has ambitious plans for continued future growth.
