Bloor Homes announces Help for Homebuyers event at Harlestone Park

Bloor Homes is hosting a two-day ‘Help for Homebuyers’ Event on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September at its Harlestone Park development, located just one mile from Northampton.

The event is designed to provide information and guidance to anyone looking for a new home within easy commutability of Northampton, but in particular First Time Buyers moving from rented accommodation, or from parents’ homes, first time homeowners who are looking to move to a second, larger property, or those who may be looking to sell to downsize to a low maintenance, energy efficient new home.

Jack Costello, Sales Director at Bloor Homes’ South Midlands region said: “We appreciate that everyone’s circumstances are different and that researching the homes and next steps can be time consuming and for some, quite stressful. This event is designed to centralise all the information people need in one place, so they are equipped to make informed decisions about their next steps.”

He adds: “We believe in arming people with the information they need so they can fully compare all their options. Our team will outline the process of buying a new home, as well as the mechanisms we have in place to support a move if buying for the first time or if there is an incumbent property to sell.

“For example, our Deposit Boost scheme is available on selected plots for those purchasing a home for the very first time and can help them get on the property ladder, while our Assisted Move programme can certainly help those who have yet to sell their property by speeding up the process and taking a lot of the pressure out of selling and moving home. With new two, three and four bedroom homes ready to move into this autumn, the Help for Homebuyer event is the opportunity to come and ask all the important questions and get all the answers, all in one place and on one day.”

Staff from Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) the Mortgage Store will also be on hand on both days between 10am and 5pm for anyone wishing to explore any financial steps they may need to take.

Deposit Boost is available on selected plots and is solely for first time buyers who need help towards the deposit required by their mortgage lender. Bloor Homes will gift first time buyers a contribution towards the deposit, cutting the amount of time people need to save the deposit, freeing up funds and enabling them to move into their own home much, much faster.

Assisted Move is Bloor Homes’ scheme to help people sell their home, providing support by arranging valuations for an existing property, instructing a local estate agency who knows the area to market the incumbent property at a price agreed in advance, keep vendors updated on their sale, reduce or even remove any fees, and take as much the hard work out of the selling process as possible. It’s available on selected homes at Harlestone Park.

Located just one mile from Northampton, just off New Sandy Lane on the outskirts of Upper Harlestone, Harleston Park is in a semi-rural setting within reach of the busy city centre and all of its amenities. Bloor Homes currently has a limited number of new homes ready to move into this autumn, starting at £270,000 for a brand new two bedroom home.
