Things to do in Chinnor
For starters, you can take advantage of the village's amenities, including the Village Centre. Pay a visit to the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway or the Chinnor Windmill. Bloor homes at Windmill Chase have the benefit of being just a short distance from the centre of the village and its useful amenities. There is a well-stocked convenience store, a post office, hair salon, cake maker, computer repair specialist, and an appliance shop. The village has three churches, a small number of eateries, including a coffee shop, bakery and takeaway restaurants.
Those searching for property for sale in Chinnor will find they are a simple 15-minute walk from the popular Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway. The volunteer-run steam railway attracts visitors from across the country, journeys can even be taken while enjoying a light lunch or cream tea. 
Steeped in history is the Chinnor Windmill, originally built in 1769 but demolished 1967 for housing, with many of the original parts restored by volunteers. The Windmill is open every first and third Sunday of each month where you can take a trip up to the top of the Windmill. Farther afield you’ve got the family friendly Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital and the Thame Mystery Treasure Trail as well as easy access to the ever popular Legoland.

Transport in and around Chinnor

Local bus services from Chinnor are regular and reliable and they even run seven days a week to Thame, High Wycombe and Princes Risborough.

Windmill Community Nursery is a short walk down Mill Lane, while the Ofsted rated Outstanding St Andrew's Primary School is just 5 minutes away. For older students, the nearby market town of Thame has the closest secondary school - Lord William’s School - which is also rated as Outstanding. The school is a split site, with Years 7-9 on the Lower School site and Years 10-13 on the Upper School site. It is a popular choice of school within the Thame community and surrounding area and is around 5 miles from Windmill Chase.
