Wellington has a large number of speciality and independent shops from which you can buy a wide range of goods. Local meats, cheeses and other delights are available at Farmers Market which is held every first and third Saturday of the month. There are also several charming pubs and cafes. The town has retained a real sense of community, genuine rural charm and all the convenience of modern living.

Turning to leisure, there are several pubs and cafes for you to enjoy. The friends of Wellington Park also arrange a number of events during the summer months to keep the whole family entertained. You will also find local nature reserves at Wellington Basins on the western fringe of the town.

The award winning Wellington Park has been restored thanks to a Heritage lottery grant. The park was designed by F W Meyer of Exeter firm Veitch and Sons and is an important example of late Victorian design.
