Getting to and from Faringdon
Our new homes in Faringdon offer quick access to the M4, just a 20-minute drive away, providing easy routes to Wales and London. It also less than 40 minutes from Oxford and less than half an hour from Swindon via the A420.
As for public transport, Swindon Train Station is only 30 minutes away from our development and provides frequent services to larger towns and cities like London, Oxford, Bath, and Bristol.
There’s also a bus stop on the doorstep of the Oriel Gardens development, where residents can catch regular services to Oxford, Wantage, and Stanford in the Vale.
Things to do in Faringdon
Oriel Gardens is ideally situated within walking distance of several amenities. For food shopping, the local supermarkets include a Tesco Superstore, Waitrose and Aldi. You can also shop at Home Bargains or enjoy a refreshment at the local Costa Coffee or visit The Swan – an excellent, local dog-friendly pub – all located within a 10-minute walk from our development.
In the town centre, you can also find organic food shop Tribe Zero-Waste, a Post Office, a butcher, bakery, fish shop and the ACACIA charity shop. These practical amenities can be reached by a quick car journey, or a 15-minute walk.
As for healthcare, the White Horse Medical Practice is a short walk from our new homes, while the nearest pharmacies can be found in Faringdon town centre. For more comprehensive care, the Great Western Hospital in Swindon is the closest major hospital, just 25-minutes' drive away.

There are several schools just a short drive away from our development, including:
• Folly View Primary School – Located within our development, this local primary has a nursery and pre-school, as well as Reception to Year 6 classes, offering an inclusive learning environment for those aged 2-11.
• The Elms Primary. Known for its inclusive approach to education and its excellent reading curriculum, The Elms is a 2-minute drive from Oriel Gardens and caters to children ages 3-11.
• Buckland C of E Primary School & Nursery caters to children ages 3-11 and is just an 8-minute drive away from our development. Buckland is surrounded by beautiful countryside and promotes good Christian values through its curriculum.
• St Hugh's School is easily accessible, being just an 18-minute drive away. The school offers nursery through to Year 11 and has a swimming pool as well as a modern Sports Hall. For children in Years 3 to 8, the school also offers a flexible boarding experience.

Living in Faringdon
Our new homes in Faringdon are situated within minutes of the Cotswolds National Landscape, Oxfordshire’s renowned area of natural beauty, with miles of walking, cycling and riding paths to explore.
As a historic market town, Faringdon still runs regular markets: Every Tuesday in the town centre, you’ll find stalls selling fresh produce, cakes and savoury treats, as well as stationery and haberdashery stalls. The monthly Farmer’s Market is held alongside the Tuesday Market once a month, bringing stalls of fish, meats, chutneys and more.
Faringdon is also home to the last major folly ever built in England. Folly Tower is a 100-foot landmark set within four acres of woodland on Folly Hill. Alongside the wide countryside views, the tower and surrounding area provides residents with an ideal place for walks, picnics and outdoor adventures.
Families can also visit the local Faringdon Leisure Centre and Gym, a 15-minute drive away, which offers a swimming pool, squash courts, a sauna, and a multi-purpose sports hall.
