Getting to and from Toddington
Our development offers easy access to the M1 and is only a five-minute drive away from Harlington railway station, which runs several direct services to nearby Bedford, as well as services to Brighton.
Bedford is only 16 minutes away by train and there’s a service every 30 minutes to Brighton. It takes a little under two and a half hours to get from Toddington to Brighton.
There’s also a bus stop, an 11-minute walk away, on Grange Road. Bus services include routes to Luton, Dunstable, Woburn, and Bedford.
The development is also a 22-minute drive from Luton Airport.
Things to do in Toddington
Toddington is home to several sports and fitness centres, including the Houghton Regis Leisure Centre – just an 11-minute drive from our development.
The centre offers a fully kitted out gym, a swimming pool and two squash courts.
In terms of shopping, the nearby town of Dunstable offers several options, with its major shopping centre, the Quadrant Shopping Centre, offering a nice mix of established chains – including the likes of Boots, New Look, Poundland, Holland and Barrett, WH Smith, and Specsavers – and smaller independent stores, like the quirky The Geek, The Witch & The Wardrobe.
There’s also a Morrisons and a Tesco Extra within a 15-minute drive of our development.
Popular schools in Toddington
There are several excellent schools within a short drive of our development. These include:
- Toddington St George Church of England Lower School - a two-minute drive away. The school caters to children ages 3-9 and believes each child should have the opportunity to embrace the challenge and sense of pride that comes with responsibility; offering those in years 2, 3 and 4 the opportunity to be elected for School Council.
- Thornhill Primary School caters to children ages 3-11 and is just an 11-minute drive from our development. The school places a focus on developing real world skills, offering both a kitchen and a garden amongst its many facilities.
- The Chalton Lower School caters to children ages 4-9 and has an expansive syllabus which includes music education and several sports for children to get involved in – helping to create well rounded students. The school is just seven-minute drive from our development.
- Parkfields Middle School is a secondary school catering to children ages 9-13. There’s a bus that passes by our development, which takes students to the school, taking 17-minutes each way. With an extensive selection of facilities – including science labs, computer suites, an art room, and a music performance room – the school offers students every opportunity to discover and pursue the subjects they’re passionate about.
- The Shared Learning Trust Sixth Form is a sixth form college that caters to children ages 16-18. A 14-minute drive from our development, the school, alongside its a-level programmes, also offers both applied and technical qualifications.
Living in Toddington
Toddington Meadows benefits from the idyllic green spaces right on its doorstep.
A little over 20-minutes' walk away is almost 5 acres of stunning wetland – the Dropshort Marsh. This nature reserve is perfect for a relaxed family day out and ideal for taking your pet for a walk.
Then there are the Sharpenhoe and Sundon Hills - a National Trust woodland, popular amongst hikers and the perfect spot for a picnic. The hills are only an 11-minute drive from our development.
Toddington is also known for hosting a few festivals throughout the year, including the Toddington Village Fete in the summer.
