There’s nothing better than knowing you are part of a team that has made something perfect for someone. At Bloor Homes our Construction Secretary is a vital role in our large, family-run business that ensures the smooth running of the Construction Department.

 

We are recruiting for an experienced Secretary to join our East Midlands Region, based in Hinkley. This role will require you to work closely with and assist the Construction and Commercial Directors. Along with forming key working relationships with the Construction and Commercial Departments whilst supporting the day-to-day operations within the region.

 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Providing the Construction and Commercial Directors with full secretarial support, including typing correspondence, taking and distributing minutes, filing, diary and email management, and making appointments and travel arrangements as necessary.
  • Managing all construction and commercial administration including typing, filing, record keeping of uniforms and respective claims.
  • Ensuring all site offices are supplied with stationery, PPE and other resources requested.
  • Setting up and maintaining contractor and supplier database and contact details.
  • Collating and producing accurate and timely reports and information packs and distributing as appropriate. (for example; NSSA packs for the Commercial Department).
  • Administering the options and upgrades, collating information received from site, issuing orders to relevant sub-contractors, suppliers and internal staff.
  • Receiving and placing telephone orders for deliveries etc, including logging and referencing orders.
  • Co-ordinating site signage orders with the Graphics Department.
  • Complying with and upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
  • Maintaining all health and safety aspects associated with Covid-19.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES 

  • Experience in a similar role either working as secretary or administrator.
  • Good Level of education including English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Bright and positive attitude.
  • Maintains confidence, discretion and intuitiveness.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
