What Will Your Day Look Like?
Your role as Material Controller is an essential role in our Construction department. You will be assisting the Site Management team in ensuring all materials are supplied to site on time and in the correct amount to enable build programmes to be met, whilst also carefully managing stock levels to minimise wastage.
You will also be:
- Monitor production programmes in relation to stock and advise the Site Manager of potential shortages.
- Liaise with Suppliers to confirm delivery arrangements.
- Reconciliation of Proof of Delivery sheets.
- Checking the quality and quantity of materials delivered to site.
- Follow up and chase any outstanding orders.
- Monitors build progress with site teams to ensure materials due in are still required to dates requested.
- Check and maintain orderly and tidy storage areas.
- Maintain Small Plant Register/Inventory.
What You'll Need To Succeed:
- Have a strong knowledge of building materials
- Experience on a new build construction site.
- Site safety awareness
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Computer literate skills are desirable.
