We helped boost local school's Christmas Fayre

St Marys C of E (Aided) Primary School in Chipping Norton was able to enjoy a fantastic Christmas Fayre this year, thanks to a donation from us.

We were delighted to be able to help St Marys C of E (Aided) Primary School continue with their annual Christmas Fayre by donating £400 to the school.

The Fayre, which took place on Friday 22 November, is a key event in the year for both children and parents alike and a highlight in the school’s fundraising efforts.Organised by the Friends of St Marys School, this year’s fayre included fun stalls and games, as well as craft stalls featuring goods from local traders. Father Christmas and his reindeer also made a special appearance.

The Friends of St Marys School said: “We are extremely grateful to Bloor Homes for its kind donation; we used the money to pay for the hire of a marquee for the trade stalls.

“As well as being a hugely popular event in our school calendar, the Fayre is vital for our school fundraising. The donation from Bloor Homes means that all the money we made at the Fayre can be used to fund additional equipment and resources for the children to support their learning and development, rather than us having to pay out for the marquee.”

Lindsay Freeman, Sales Manager at Bloor Homes Western, said: “When the Friends of St Marys School contacted us to enquire about support for their Christmas Fayre, we were keen to help.

“As a responsible housebuilder, we are always looking to work with the communities where we build. Our new housing development, The Pillars at Chipping Norton, is currently under construction with plans to launch in January 2020 and many of the families who move here may well have children attending the school. We hope the Christmas Fayre went well and look forward to working with St Marys School again on future projects.”
