We've made a splash with Tewkesbury Swimming Club

A swimming club in Tewkesbury has splashed out on much-needed new kit thanks to our support.

We're proud to support the local communities that we build and work in, so we were extremely happy to step in to help after Tewkesbury Swimming Club were finding pool hire costs challenging and could not afford to place orders for new kit. Our donation means team members will now have a fresh new kit to wear for competitions and training.

The club, which trains at the Tewkesbury Leisure Centre and Tewkesbury Secondary School, debuted the new kit at the Gloucester County ASA Championships on Saturday 26th January.

Ellen Heeley, Chair of Tewkesbury Swimming Club, said: “We’re very grateful to Bloor Homes for its generous donation, which has enabled us to purchase new kit for our members.

“We pride ourselves on being a friendly, community club with very reasonable squad fees and without this donation, we might have had to raise monthly fees to cover the costs of buying new kits ourselves.

“Bloor Homes’ donation has ensured that the club remains financially viable and accessible to the people of Tewkesbury and surrounding villages, and I would like to thank the company for its support.

“All the members who have purchased the kit and used it in our recent County Championships are delighted with how it looks and feels. It’s very much in demand and we have already sold out our first box.”

Steve Roberts, Regional Managing Director of Bloor Homes Western, said: “We are always keen to support the local communities in which we build, and as a Tewkesbury-based company we are particular delighted to make this donation to Tewkesbury Swimming Club.

“It was a pleasure to meet Ellen and the team and we wish them all the best for their upcoming events.”
