Tewkesbury Pumas ready to pounce with new kit

A junior football team in Tewkesbury has been kitted out in a brand-new strip after receiving sponsorship from us.

Tewkesbury Town Pumas Under 12s will now be able to don a red and white striped kit for its final season playing nine-a-side football in the Evesham Ambassador League. Our sponsorship also enabled the club to purchase new jackets for its 16 registered players to wear for the upcoming season.

However, the Pumas’ relationship with us extends further than providing a new kit. The team plays its home games in on a pitch in Wheatpieces, which we created as part of our Tewkesbury Meadow development.

Toby Philpot, who manages the Tewkesbury Town Pumas, said: “As a club, we are predominantly self-funded and, in the past, have had to raise our own funds for club jackets and kits, so this generous backing from Bloor Homes is greatly appreciated.

“Bloor Homes has played a big part in the team’s recent history, not only providing our current home pitch and kit, but many of the team, myself included, live in a Bloor home.

“It’s nice to have such a good connection with the company and I’d like to thank Bloor Homes for its support so far this season.

“The team is going strong, we’ve enjoyed a good start to the season and the boys are over the moon with our new kit.”

Tewkesbury Pumas is part of the wider Tewkesbury Town Colts club, which has more than 350 players across its youth teams up to the age of under 18s.

Matthew Williams, Regional Commercial Director for Bloor Homes, said: “As a company, we’re committed to helping the communities where we build, so it gives us great pride to see the Tewkesbury Pumas under 12s playing in their new kits on the new pitches in Wheatpieces.

“We wish the team the very best of luck for the rest of the season and will be keeping an eye out for their progress.”
