The Tivoli Theatre secures donation from Bloor Homes Southern

The Tivoli Theatre has secured a generous donation from national housebuilder, Bloor Homes Southern

Bloor Homes, who is building its Wimborne Chase development off Cranborne Road, provided a donation of £5,000 to help the theatre during the pandemic.

Charlie North Lewis from The Tivoli Theatre said: “We are hugely grateful that Bloor Homes Southern has given The Tivoli Theatre such a generous donation. We are enormously grateful for the support at this present time. The donation will certainly help to ease what has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone.”

Lucy Ludlow, Regional Sales Director at Bloor Homes Southern, said: “We are very proud to be supporting The Tivoli Theatre. As a responsible housebuilder, we are committed to working with the local communities in which we develop.

The Arts as a sector has seen significant losses during the lockdowns, so we hope that this will go some way to ensuring that they are able to continue to offer a much-treasured venue for the people of Wimborne and surrounding villages with a host of fantastic productions.”

The Tivoli Theatre was built in 1936 as a cine/theatre and the tradition of showing both films and live stage shows continues to this present day. Big audiences for major shows were traditional at the Tivoli and the theatre has once again achieved the status of a major venue with 483 seats. The local community of Wimborne can enjoy the finest and latest films available and with full surround sound.

Wimborne Chase is located on the northern outskirts of the thriving market town of Wimborne. The development offers something for singles, couples and families of all sizes.  There is also a great choice of amenities close to home, plus excellent schools and transport links across Dorset and beyond. All of this and more makes Wimborne Chase a wonderful place to call home.
